About the Author

Israeli-American psychologist Daniel Kahneman was born on March 5, 1934. Currently, professor emeritus of psychology and public affairs at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, Kahneman is notable for his works on the psychology of judgement and decision-making. His works on behavioural economics helped him win the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, which he shared with Vernon L. Smith. His other notable works include Attention and Effort (1973), Judgement Under Uncertainty: Heuristics and Biases (1982), Well-being: The Foundations of Hedonic Psychology and Thinking, Fast and Slow (2011), among others.
